EmEditor enhanced bookmark functionality in v25.1 released on 2025/05/21. Previously, bookmarks within files could not be saved; upon closing and reopening a file for editing, existing bookmarks would be lost. The new version introduces a saving function, allowing bookmark settings for each file to be retained.

1. Enabling Bookmark List Saving

From the menu, go to Tools > Customize > History, then check 'Save Bookmarks' and specify the number of days to keep.

2. Bookmark List

A 'Bookmark List' option has been added to the Bookmarks menu. If you use this feature frequently, you can assign a new key by going to Tools > All Configuration Properties > Keyboard, and finding 'Bookmark List'.
