我花了十分钟看完，感觉自己也可以成为一个更好的作者。
听起来有些夸张。
有时候，就是一些简单到不能再简单的原则，只要刻在脑子里，并且践行，你就会焕然一新。
对我来说，这篇“极简”的关于写作的博文，就说了这样的一个原则。
除此之外，这篇文章也让我感到一些释然。因为我不再需要为了遣词造句而过分费神了，同时也不会因为字句平淡而有顾虑了。

商业写作的重点，是清晰和说服力。技巧无非是：让文字简单。简单的文字更有说服力。一个由五句话表述的好论点，比一百句话的精彩论述，更能说服人。
不要做无谓的努力。
简单意味着去除多余的字句。如果你可以写“He was happy”，就不要写“He was very happy”。你觉得“very”增加了额外的东西。其实没有。
修剪每个句子。
幽默的写作和商业写作很像。都需要简单。主要的不同在于：用词的选择。为了更幽默形象，不要用“喝水（drink）”，试试用“痛饮（swill）”。
第一句话要抓住读者。回去看这篇文章的第一句话。我重写了好几次。它让你好奇，这是关键。
写短的句子。避免在一句话里表达多个想法。读者并没有你想象的那么聪明。
**学习大脑是如何组织想法的。**读者看到“男孩击中球”时，比“球被男孩击中”理解起来更顺畅。尽管意思是一样的，把主语放在前面更容易想象。大脑就是这样工作的。（注意我的说法并不是“那就是大脑工作的方式”。）
就那么多，你已经学会了好的写作需要的80%的规则。不客气。

The Day You Became A Better Writer
I went from being a bad writer to a good writer after taking a one-day course in “business writing.” I couldn’t believe how simple it was. I’ll tell you the main tricks here so you don’t have to waste a day in class.
Business writing is about clarity and persuasion. The main technique is keeping things simple. Simple writing is persuasive. A good argument in five sentences will sway more people than a brilliant argument in a hundred sentences. Don’t fight it.
Simple means getting rid of extra words. Don’t write, “He was very happy” when you can write “He was happy.” You think the word “very” adds something. It doesn’t. Prune your sentences.
Humor writing is a lot like business writing. It needs to be simple. The main difference is in the choice of words. For humor, don’t say “drink” when you can say “swill.”
Your first sentence needs to grab the reader. Go back and read my first sentence to this post. I rewrote it a dozen times. It makes you curious. That’s the key.
Write short sentences. Avoid putting multiple thoughts in one sentence. Readers aren’t as smart as you’d think.
Learn how brains organize ideas. Readers comprehend “the boy hit the ball” quicker than “the ball was hit by the boy.” Both sentences mean the same, but it’s easier to imagine the object (the boy) before the action (the hitting). All brains work that way. (Notice I didn’t say, “That is the way all brains work”?)
That’s it. You just learned 80% of the rules of good writing. You’re welcome.
最后的一些想法
简单（simple）这个简单的原则，只要做了，我认为确实是能够帮助成为一个更好的作者。但并不意味着会直接把一个人变成优秀的作者。
除了表达的简单之外，还有很多（更）重要的东西。比如结构，比如逻辑，比如素材。这些更需要积累，时间上的、阅读上的、思考上的积累。我还在路上。
对于一个想开始写的人来说，“简单”或许是第一个最重要的原则，帮你起步，帮你丢掉包袱，帮你在一开始越写越顺手。
